Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #62 - Christmas card

Well, I'm barely getting this one in under the gun.  I made it for Freshly made sketches challenge #62.  Thanksgiving is over, I made a trip up to Salem and back in one day and sat down with a few minutes to myself tonight!  What a great week!

I made this nifty little card using my cricut, of course.  I am thinking about purchasing another cutting machine (I can't believe I'm admitting this on-line).  So if anyone has any input I'm looking at the Sillhouette Cameo or the Sizzix Eclips.  I'm stuck and could use help here!  Anyhow, back to this card, I used the Winter Frolic cart for the trees and the Designer's Calender for the number circle.

Freshly Made Sketches challenge #60

Here's my entry for Freshly Made Sketches.  The idea is to keep it "clean lined and fresh".  It's so hard for me not to put tons of detail on my cards, but I think this one is scaled back a bit.

I learned to use my cricut craft room today....well at least a little bit.  I still have some questions, but that's another post!  I used preserves for the avacado.  The circle is from Artiste, I love that it is a real circle!

Cooking with Cricut #81 Card Outreach

This weeks challenge at Cooking with Cricut is a showcase of cards for two wonderful young ladies, Patty and Emily who are battling cancer. Pink and girly was on the board for me and so I chose to use a princess theme.

I used Gypsy Wanderings for the frame and WISH and Paper Doll Dress-up for the castle. Hope they like it! I made two for each girl.

Challenge Week

Well, it's time again to enter some challenges. I have enjoyed these challenges so much because it's given me the opportunity to create on my own. In the past I've always looked at someone else's work and been able to copy it or tweek it a bit to come up with something I've liked, but the challenges have forced me to be creative by myself without recreating someone else's work.

So this card is going into a couple of different challenges this week. Fantabulous Cricut challenge is to use three flowers and Color Throwdown is using specific colors. So I used the "Love you a Latte" cartridge and a new technique called tri-folding. (I saw it on You Tube)

Challenge Me Monday 102

This card is for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge. The challenge was to put a cat in your card in some way. I had such a hard time getting a design that I was really crazy about! But this is the end result. A cute little happy birthday card!
