Cooking With Cricut Challenge 83

My entry for this week's challenge on Cooking with Cricut.  It's all about bling.  So I hope you can see the bling in the middle of my grapefruit!  The background for this card was cut from the Straight From the Nest cart and the grapefruit was from the Preserves cart.  I love the Preserves cart, the fruit is so pretty.  It will be fun to use this at the end of the summer for canning season!

Happy Birthday Mary!

Special shout out to my sister Mary.  I'm not going to put her age here (I'm the nice sister)!  Have a fabulous birthday!

Elk Creek - Four Wheeling

We went four wheeling this weekend.  I thought it might be cooler in the mountains, but it was 88 degrees up there too! This is Mike and Britt before they took what seemed like a monstrous hill!

There they go.

So I thought I'd give it a whirl!  My first hill.  I was so proud.

At the top of the mountain I was reminded how incredibly lucky I am to live in Southern Oregon.  I hesitate to even post this pic because it does not do justice to how beautiful it was up there or far you could see.  It was STUNNING!

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge 108

Oh, I can't believe it's been almost a week since I last posted, but what a busy week.  I've had several job interviews and a birthday party for my dear sweet Brooke.  So tonight I stole a little time to pound out a card for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday contest.  I love this week's challenge, trains, plains, automobiles or however you travel.

I used the Holiday Cakes cartridge for the car and license plate and the Birthday bash for the card.  The card itself was cut at 4 3/4, so it will fit nicely in a 5 X 5 envelope.

Hope everyone is having a fabulous week and that this wonderful weather we're having here in Oregon will hold out just a little longer.  Here's to hoping!

Gift Bag and Box for Baby Girl!

I posted the gift bag in a previous post, but here is the gift box as well! For the gift box I used the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2 cartridge! And the owl was from the Create a Critter Cart.

Color Throwdown Challenge #188

Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo and Always Artichoke are the colors to work with in the Color Throwdown Challenge this week. Have I mentioned how much I love these challenges. They just spark the imagination. This one in particular because color is creativity!
My son's kindergarten teacher is expecting a baby girl and we are having a shower for her tomorrow. And I can't begin to tell you how much it thrills me to get to make anything frilly and girly!
I used the cricut cartridge Just Because cards to make the peas, and straight from the nest to make the onsie's and hangers, then textured with the polk a dot folders on the cuttlebug!

I made this for a girlfriend that I meet at least once a week for coffee. I am not a coffee drinker myself, so I drink tea, but I know she'll love this!
Fantabulous Cricut this week has a contest for a project that includes buttons/bows and I made a card with a button, but I'm also going to enter this project.
I used the Love You a Latte Lite cartridge for this and added a band from a line of paper that I loved from Authentique Paper, "Voyage" and a pretty ribbon. I stocked up on this paper a couple of weeks ago when Craft Warehouse was clearing it out!

Cooking with Cricut #81 Card Outreach

This weeks challenge at Cooking with Cricut is a showcase of cards for two wonderful young ladies, Patty and Emily who are battling cancer. Pink and girly was on the board for me and so I chose to use a princess theme.

I used Gypsy Wanderings for the frame and WISH and Paper Doll Dress-up for the castle. Hope they like it! I made two for each girl.

Fantabulous Cricut #106

This card is for the Fantabulous Cricut contest this week and my sister's birthday is right around the corner, so voila! The contest is to use ribbon and/or buttons. I hope you can tell that the center of the flower on the tea cup is a button!
I used the tea cup from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2 and the flower from Create a Critter (with the zebra). A strange combination of cartridges I know, but I just picked the first cartridge I came to with a flower on it and it was perfect. Enjoy your week everyone!

Happy Easter Cake

I made a sunflower PEEP Easter Cake. I wish I could remember where I see some of these things. It obviously was not my creation. But it was yummy! (At least that's what I heard!)

Gift Bag

This is the gift bag that went with the card. I used Straight From the Nest for the swirls and Designers calender for the carriage. I love the way it turned out!

Baby Shower

A very dear friend of mine is having her baby shower tomorrow night. Baby boy that has already blessed their lives. I can't wait to meet him. I made this card for the event. I used pleated satin ribbon from Stampin Up in Baja Breeze and the carriage is cut from the Designer's Calender Cricut cartridge. The card is a 5 X5 so the squareness made it much easier to center the other squares on the card.

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #105

This week's challenge on the Fantabulous Cricut blog is "Egg"cellent...somehow use an egg in your card layout. I found a rooster on the From My Kitchen cartridge and used the My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline paper to make this little unconventional easter card. I love the colors, peach, grey and pale yellow.

Forever Young Purse

I know that Stampin Up has a new purse die cut out, so in the spirit of all things handbag, I made this cute little purse. Only I used one from the Forever Young Cartridge. I love it and can't wait to experiment with it!

Throwdown Challenge #185

This card is for the Throwdown Color Challenge. I love this blog! This site reallly challenges me to stretch my imagination and what better way to do that then to put together colors that are exciting and make you FEEL! I only used the cricut a little on this one. I'm discovering the Straight From the Nest cartridge which is new to my collection. I used the swirly and floweres from that cartridge! Hope everyone is having a great Sunday.
