Cooking with Cricut challenge Halloween entry

Well, I was feeling crafty yesterday and put together another entry for Cooking with Cricut.  I'm starting to think ahead for Halloween.  Probably because I got the Over the Hill cart and I'm getting excited about it.  I found this card design on Lezlye's blogspot and fell in love with it!

I used the cat from the Paper Doll Dress up cart, the frame is from Gypsy Wanderings, the border is from Elegant Cakes and of course the cuttlebug.  I try not to use too many cartridges on my cards because it gets so time consuming, but I had nothing better to do yesterday!

Baby shower Nesting party favor

Okay, I swear (I hope) that this is my last post about the baby shower!  And I've posted this favor before, but this is the final draft that I ended up using for the shower.  I put little truffles in them!  And they were a big hit.

I used the Bags, tags, boxes and more2 cart for the favor box and the bib and the Gypsy Wanderings for the birdy!

Diaper Cake

This is a little bit of a twist on the diaper cake.  I wrapped diapers and tied them together to form a circle, then covered them in a circle with paper.  I used the Straight from the Nest cart for the branch, the Plantin Schoolbook for the grass and the Gypsy Wanderings for the bird.  The cellophane candies I used were diapers rolled up!  How cute is that?  I saw it on Etsy.  I was pretty pleased with it!

This is a name card I placed on the cake plate, just to let people know the name of the new little one and to welcome them to the shower!

Baby shower wreath

Well, folks it's been a while since I have posted.  I thought June was bad, then came July!  So between vacations, weekend boating and a surgery (all is well) I have not posted for quite some time.  But that does not mean that I have not been busy on the cricut.  Hardly a day goes by that I don't use it.
My girlfriend had a baby girl today and in preperation we had a baby shower last week.  The theme was nestin, and the colors were pink, brown and green.  Those of you who know me, know that I want a granddaughter to dress up, so when I heard my friend was having a girl I went a little crazy!  So here is the first of several posts.  First, actually this was the last project I did, it came to me when I was recooperating, is a wreath for the front door.
I made this wreath using diapers.  I tied them around a wreath I picked up at an after holiday sale at Target.  I used the Straight from the Nest cart for the welcome and branches, and the Gypsy Wanderings for the bird.  The shoes I found a template for at Pink Fox website AND I just saw on the Holidaycricut website that CTMH has a new cart coming out tomorrow with this 3D shoe on it!  CAN'T WAIT!

Cooking with Cricut #81 Card Outreach

This weeks challenge at Cooking with Cricut is a showcase of cards for two wonderful young ladies, Patty and Emily who are battling cancer. Pink and girly was on the board for me and so I chose to use a princess theme.

I used Gypsy Wanderings for the frame and WISH and Paper Doll Dress-up for the castle. Hope they like it! I made two for each girl.

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge 104

Here's this week's entry in the Monday Challenge for Fantabulous Cricut. I love these milk cartons from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2. I used Gypsy Wanderings for the bunny and the grass is from my most used cartridge, Plantin Schoolbook. I am having so much fun making stuff for Easter, but seriously it is piling up. I'm going to have to start giving it to the neighbors!
The great thing about this project was that I got a chance to drag out my gypsy, which I am still leery about and I learned to use the center cut feature on my cricut! Who knew?

Love birds

I am trying to learn how to use the gypsy. I think I'm getting the hang of it. Last night I learned to weld and flip an image. YIPEE!

These are love birds that I am somehow going to work into a Valentine's card. It's hard to tell from the picture, but the heart is only 2.5 inches, so I'm hoping for a 3X3 card!
