Back to School bulletin board

Well, back to school is  in full swing and I just completed our first bulletin board of the year! Well, actually I did it a week and half ago, but I'm just now posting it!  I really wanted to do a train theme and decided to try to incorporate all the events for the PTO that we have scheduled so far and this is what I came up with.

I used the My World cricut cartridge to do the train, the Nate's ABC's for the clouds and words, and the Birthday Bash for the HOOVER letters.  The kids love to see the changes we make to their board every month, so this year I have some really colorful boards planned.  Now lets see how well I execute them!

Halloween Milk Carton Party Favors

I've been working on these little guys today.  I made 18 in total because I am hosting BUNCO this month.  Super excited to show off these little party favors!  I made them using Tags, bags, boxes and more 2 cartridge.  I used the mouth on the pumpkin from the Paper Doll cart, the triangle and circles are from George Basics.  The rest I just made up or cut up.  I originally saw these on a stampin up website that I wish I could find to give proper credit to!  Despite how they look, it didn't take me much time to piece them together!

Canning salsa

This last week my sister-in-law was here and we had a day of canning.  We live very close to Harry and David and they had a peach sale.  Peaches were 10 cents a pound!  I don't know what possessed me to be different from the crowd (except that family did not eat the peaches I canned last year), but I decided to can salsa instead.

Our dear friends are on vacation for 3 weeks and our son is house sitting and he keeps bringing home all of these beautiful peppers and I had to do something with them.  So I made salsa for us and a couple for them for a nice little returning home present.  Mighty nice of me considering it was from their garden, don't you think?

I made the label for the salsa and the oven and mitt from the From my Kitchen cart and the label on the jar is from Preserves cart.  I hope they enjoy it as much as we have!

Cooking with Cricut challenge #99

For the Cooking with Cricut challenge this week I made this entry for the back-to-school theme.  I cut the apple from the Plantin Schoolbook.  This is such a go-to cartridge for me.  So there you go, simple and to the point.

Fantabulous Cricut contest - Beach

Fantabulous Cricut has a new contest this week.  Water theme.  I think this fits!  I used the Life is a beach cart for the Gecko and BEACH, BABY letters, Birthday Bash for the banner.  Simple but I like it!

Cooking with Cricut challenge Halloween entry

Well, I was feeling crafty yesterday and put together another entry for Cooking with Cricut.  I'm starting to think ahead for Halloween.  Probably because I got the Over the Hill cart and I'm getting excited about it.  I found this card design on Lezlye's blogspot and fell in love with it!

I used the cat from the Paper Doll Dress up cart, the frame is from Gypsy Wanderings, the border is from Elegant Cakes and of course the cuttlebug.  I try not to use too many cartridges on my cards because it gets so time consuming, but I had nothing better to do yesterday!

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge 122 - Camping theme

I haven't done challenges for a little bit, now 2 in one week.  I'm feeling lucky!  The theme is camping, the place is fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com.  I made this card using the Designer's Calender for the "CAMP", Birthday bash for the "out", Create a Critter for the fire and Plantin Schoolbook for the leaves and the circle.  P.S.  I love the Center Point option on the Cricut.  Of course, I got to take out my cuttlebug for the wood grain look and to liven up the flames of the fire!
